BROOKLYN, MIch. -- A total of 17 Team Chevy drivers will start today's Cup race at Michigan International Speedway

Chevy drivers qualified in 5 of the top-10 starting positions
- Kevin Harvick, No. 29, second
- Kasey Kahne, No. 5, fourth
- Ryan Newman, No. 39, fifth (but goes to back to engine change)
- Tony Stewart, No. 14, ninth
- Jimmie Johnson, No. 48, tenth (but goes to back to engine change)

Chevrolet drivers have won 19 of 85 races at Michigan International Speedway (MIS). Wins by active drivers are:

- Kurt Busch, No. 51, has two victories at MIS (’03 & ’07)

- Ryan Newman, No. 39, has gone to Victory Lane twice (2) at MIS (’03 & ’04)
